Can't copy files from external HDD to internal.

The drive works fine, Explorer will copy single files, but not entire folders.

I would try the suggestion. Did the HDD come with any drivers? If so, install them.

No it's one of those plug and play ones. I'll try that again now then.

Did you install the HP drivers or let windows update do your chipset drivers?

Try it from within the Hidden Admin account.

Does HP have win7 chipset drivers for your machine? If so I'd install those and see what happens.
