    Technical Terminology!

I would like to use the correct Terminology when I Post a Thread.
I am confused regarding Versions of Operating Systems Releases.
What is the correct terminology to describe the very first Release of the Operating System,
"that comes with / came with a Desktop PC when it is first released for SALE"?

In my case, it would be for an:
    HP EliteOne 800 G1 Desktop.

In the very old days, this Release would be included on CD/DVD Media with the new PC.
Now it's just installed on the PC and it's the User's responsibility to make a copy / backup of it.

    Best regards,

I don't think there is a specific name associated with that., because bundling of an OS into a ready-made computer has no special significance for the operating system itself, it's just a (controversial) way to distribute the OS.

Neither the first version has some special name, other than "the first version of (whatever) that can/has (something)". Under semantic versioning it should be version 1.0, but that scheme is not always followed.
In addition, bundling an OS (or any other program in general) don't means it's a new or special version. It's the very same program you can download an install on your own.

    Thank you for your response.

    Case in point:

    Windows-7 PRO, 64-Bit

The Version that should come with a new PC has Drivers for that new PC.
While my PC is not new, I still want / need the Version that came with it when it was new.

The Version(s) that I have purchased from several Sellers does NOT come with all the Drivers for my PC, SOME are missing!

This includes the Microsoft Windows Version (Official) OEM Version.

I do not want to search the "Internet/Switch and Bait Facility" searching for the specific Version I want / need not knowing what it called.

Can you get me to the Version of Windows-7 Pro 64-Bit Version that was supplied with an HP EliteOne 800 G1 Business PC?
    I hope you can!
    Here are the Details:

    Serial Number = MXL5032DN3
    Product Number = K1K41UT#aba

    Best regards,

    Mike Lynch

I will be thankful for any assistance you can provide.

    It doesn't works like that.

Windows (or any other program for that matter) isn't released with different versions for different computer models matching the very specific drivers each one needs. There is one ONE "version" which is installed everywhere (there could be variations like CPU architecture and update levels, but they're basically minor variations).
When you build a new computer model, you pick a Windows CD, install it, then add drivers for your hardware, add promotional programs (PUPs) and some configuration, then run sysprep and make an image out of that. Then you deploy that image on every computer you build. That's what the guys at HP do, they build the system themselves, Microsoft don't provides a custom version for them.

The closest at what you're looking for, if it exists, is a "recovery media" that some prebuilt computers include, which is nothing other than the "clean" image made at the factory for that specific model. You could find it at the manufacturer website, if they still serve it.

Most likely, that recovery media either doesn't exists or was pulled away by HP. In that case, to reformat your computer you do the usual, use any Windows installation media, find the drivers for your hardware (which could be available at the HP site) and install them. That's what they do at the factory and that's what every user does when formating a computer from scratch.
There isn't a shortcut from that.

    Thank you again!
I'm sorry to hear that but if that's what it is, it is.

The term you may be looking for is OEM: Original Equipment Manufacturer. That is the term applied to an OS that came with a computer like HP or Dell or Toshiba or Acer, etc.

There are also OEM printer cartridges and whatnot...

    You could make one.

    1. get an official ms iso file
if you haven't got one, search the internet for

    en_windows_7_professional_with_sp1_x64_dvd_u_676939.iso

    SHA-1: 0bcfc54019ea175b1ee51f6d2b207a3d14dd2b58

    2. download the drivers for your pc. Extract them if not already.

    3. put the drivers in the appropriate folders in 7updater
Update your Win 7 installation media

    4. you can include the oem folder if you like.

    5. run the 7updater.cmd file
