    Windows Doesn't Retain Taskbar Customization

The taskbar doesn't show Windows Explorer - Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media. I select Customize and see that it's set to Only Show Notifications. I change the setting to Show Icon and Notifications. Each time I shutdown Windows does not keep my setting; each time I start the computer it reverts back to Only Show Notifications. This doesn't happen with other taskbar displays; they remain set to Show Icon and Notifications across shutdown/start. Is there a way to fix this bug?

Try running sfc /scannow in an elevated command prompt first and see what that says.

You may have a program there messing around with Explorer...

Ran SFC scan. Did not find any integrity violations.

Run Autoruns, go to File and save the ARN file. Zip the ARN file and upload here. Autoruns for Windows - Sysinternals | Microsoft Learn
