    I'd rather flash GrapheneOS on a Google Pixel... I have no use for Android. Especially on a computer.

    You have several computers and hard-drives from around 2014, use one for the test; Burn the Android .iso onto a CD and start the installation process (Linux don't even ask for a 15-digit number) ---and ten minutes later you have a working Android with mouse.

    No, I'm not mocking you. If it's as simple as you've described, I'll try it. And if it's easier to do it with a CD-borne ISO, I'll do it that way.

    I couldn't find an ISO except for an android x86 project that clearly has been abandoned. I think that the last version was 9. If I where you I'd find an android forum. Surely someone there has done this.

    the .iso CAN be downloaded, can be burned onto a dvd, and can be used to boot a computer; it does give you a choice of trying it "live" or installing it onto a hard drive
