Rendering Videos on DaVinci Resolve Doesn't Work

(I'm posting this here because other forums will tell me to upgrade to Win10)
I successfully installed DaVinci Resolve on Windows 7 after modifying a DLL found in this video:

Como instalar o Davinci resolve no Windows 7 e resolver o erro da cfgmgr32.dll - YouTube

Editing and everything goes fine... until export. It wouldn't render, and my computer would lag, and if I don't close Resolve in time, it'll completely freeze (though YouTube audio still plays...). Even if I close it in time, the computer remains laggy in a way that isn't present before starting the rendering project.

I've tried the following to no avail:
    1. Set rendering speed to less than maximum
    2. Rendering through cache - doesn't seem to work at all
    3. DaVinci Resolve Not Rendering | TRY THIS! - YouTube
    4. Disabling rendering from the GPU
    5. Disabling proxies

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

As a general rule I don't edit Windows files. This particular dll is linked to the windows kernel (see this) and you expect there to not be any issues? If you'd read the comments the only one in english stated to have problems with the windows kernel after doing this. I'm sorry but I don't have an answer except that you should leave alone or upgrade to 10. You didn't say what version of the software that you have but the latest requires Windows 10 and as much as I hate 10 there is probably a good reason for it. The software interfaces with specialized hardware. Trying to use it on anything but 10 or higher could result in issues with the hardware as well. I'm sorry but if this is unacceptable for you to hear perhaps you should check with their forum considering that this is specialized software.
