Windows asks for login password which unavailable

Bout a laptop Lenovo T540p many years ago. Used a few times. Put in store room since 2021. There was a login password in the years before 2016. The login password was deleted in 2016. I take the laptop out of the store room and try to start it, but Windows asks for login password.

How to solve this problem, please?

    Thanks.

    Thank you.
There is no any password to remove. And my post is NOT ASKING to REMOVE any PASSWORD. I am asking how to solve the issue, that is, the system asks for login password while there is none.

The problem, I think, is exactly IT THINKS there is a password but there in none in reality.
Reset password requires old password. There is no password old or new.

    Reset password requires old password.
    No.

you enter a new password. irrespective of what it thought the old one was

    12) When the PC restarts a Command window will open, in that window type "net user <username> <new password>" mine is (net user "Bare Foot Kid" Test6) be advised: if you have a username like mine, with spaces, you must use " " quotes around the user name; when you get the "Command Completed Successfully" type "exit" in the Command window and hit enter; at the logon screen use the new password you chose.
