That one was modified from vista one. First goal of that modification was supporting Korean language. If you open that gadget folder, you can see en-US and ko-KR and no other languages.

And for technical detail, it get information via JS directly rather than using ActiveXobject, so it has more flexible compatibility. And as it was modified from Vista, not seven one, so it lacks searching from location that obtained from location sensor on device.
