New install hd & ram - fresh install win7 - desperate for help

Hi, I'm shesgotgame!
Just used your fix sfc /scannow and although it fixed plenty there is still quite a bit left.
Here is my dilemma. My hard drive is on the way out so I bought a new one & RAM from newegg (I hope it's the right one.)

I have a ENVY 23 All-in-one . newegg recommended:

4TB FireCuda HARDDRIVE

RAM -- DDR3L-1600 4 - 8GB

Windows 7 must have a fail safe when the hard drive starts to falter because it has been moving my files around and where I'm at a loss.
I was supposed to scan & upload some docs to the AZ Attorney General's Office last night and could not find the printer files. Even when I downloaded new files my computer would not install them. Does HP have a glitch in their printers when Windows 7 is used? Their website is "must rid yourself of evil windows 7" or we won't help you.

Sorry for the tirade, I'm 71 and I've been fighting this computer for 14 hours straight.
Is there an easy way to fresh install Windows 7 on the new Hard drive?
And there has to be a newer Windows 7 than I have.
Can someone come to my rescue please?

I would say that it is simple, I assume you know how to take your computer apart. Open it up, pop in the RAM and replace the hard drive. Pop in your copy of win7 into the DVD drive and boot from there. follow the prompts and it will install win7. then connect your wifi and have windows find all updates and let it install them. ( you be doing that for a while). install all software that you want. unless your computer has space for a 2nd hard drive, get an external hard drive enclosure and plug it in a USB port and now you can look for your files and drag them over to the new HDD. Hope this helps

My DVD drive is shot but I have an external one. Is that going to be a problem?

Most of the time I had no idea what you were talking about. It isn't just throw the disc in and let it go . If I had the money I'd pay someone to do it, but that's the problem, I don't.

They are saying it wont find updates, just install the media like post 2 is saying.

Windows 7 is Windows NT 6.1 (2000 was NT 5.0, XP was 5.1, Vista was 6, Windows 8 is 6.2, Windows 8.1 was 6.3 and Windows 10 was 6.4 before it was changed to 10.0) You won't have any issues using your external USB DVD drive to install Windows 7. If your computer doesn't start automatically from the external DVD, you may have to change the boot priority in BIOS. You can also bypass boot priority by pressing F10 at boot to see the Boot menu and manually select your external DVD drive from there. Of course you must connect it before powering on the computer in order to be detected. If it is not shown the first time, press CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart and it should be there next time. Also make sure booting from USB is not blocked in BIOS (yes some computers have this security setting), so you can boot from USB DVD or USB flash drive. I haven't checked recently, but I see no reason whey you wouldn't be able to download updates. Yes, support for Windows 7 has ended and there are not newer updates, but all the older ones should be on Microsoft's servers for Windows Update to retrieve and install them.

I have : Upgrade Windows 7 Home Premium disc for external CD/DVD drive

SIW2 says: to update Win 7 installation media 7UPv64R.zip
Something about ISO files, drivers, etc.

Does this mean I am not to use my installation disc but transfer everything to another DVD?
Or use a thumb drive for all the extras media he speaks of?

Also I use my Samsung phone hotspot for internet connection. I'm not sure which media is used for the internet connection, maybe Ralink Wireless Utility?

Do I setup everything on this computer before the new hard drive goes in?
I'm a bit confused what steps to take.
Can you help?

I have the disc's for Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit and 32 bit with the product key and I would be happy to give the 32 bit disc to someone in exchange for a little extra help. I only have 1 computer and the hard drive can go at anytime. I do not want to load new installation files on this computer to "update" them in case there is a crazy virus on the loose.

I think you are complicating things by worrying about drivers now. Just install Windows 7 and find and install the drivers later.

How do you want to install Windows 7? Use a DVD or a flash drive? Given a choice I would install it from a flash drive.

To burn Windows 7 ISO to DVD you can use the free program CDBurnerXP

To create Windows 7 flash drive you can use the free program Rufus
