On the question of scrolling down, there is an auto-scroll UserScript that does exactly what you need:

Forum Jumper - automatically jump down the last post on a traditional forum page.

It is already set up for SevenForums. Install with whatever UserScript add-on your browser uses (e.g. Tampermonkey). Enjoy.
