Does a PC Repair from Original PC disrupt Simplix?

I have reached the point where I am willing to attempt a PC Repair from my Original Windows-7 DVD.
This would be of course from the Windows-7 DVD I purchased online.
HP NEVER offers to sell these or other ones that have a NIC Drive included.
Yes, from a Customer Support perspective, they are useless!

If I use my Windows-7 DVD, which does include SP1, to repair my PC, will it obliterate any Simplix Updates?

My guess is yes but again, I'm just way to inexperienced as a Novice to not ask for guidance / insight.

    Any feedback?

By the way, I could not get my Internal DVD Player to function, so I bought an External one.

Hopefully, it will function in spite of my USB problems.

    Thanks.

    Mike

Because if not, no harm will be done to the Simplix ones.

You will be back to 2011 updatewise. With SP1 missing, you'll be back to 2009.
