Lost Admin privileges for one hard drive only. Can't make changes.

This problem suddenly occurred. Attempts to change Permissions for the drive prove fruitless as I'm denied ability to change anything. New folders created all show lock icons on them. Help appreciated.

Right-click on the drive, select Properties and then go to the Security tab. Click Advanced and see who is the owner. Click to change it and type Administrators (plural, the group, not the built-in Administrator user). Check the box to apply it in all subfolders and files. Close the window and click Advanced again. This time you can modify access rights, click Change. Now select the Administrators group and check all the boxes to grant full access. Make sure this applies to this folder, subfolders and all files. Now close all windows, you should be able to access the drive again. I would download Superantispyware and do a full scan, just in case. Remove all results and restart. If it find too many, I would also check with a second application, such as Malwarebytes Antimalware.
