Startup programs not starting

    I'm just saying if he messes around with some other settings,. that could get him in trouble.

    I believe I have fixed the problem... I've restarted the computer about 6 times and everything works like it should. The problem was UAC, I disabled UAC after installing a bunch of programs. My gadgets no longer disappear, my programs are starting up, my quick launch appears now and Iam able to install programs I was not able to before.
    This time I did a clean install of Win 7 64 bit ad immediately disabled UAC before installing anything.

    You can either leave it on or off... but you gotta make your decision right after a clean install. If you decide to turn off UAC later on you are going to have a bunch of problems on your OS.

    UAC is still left at default after I freshly reformatted this laptop. Every app works fine. What programs are you using?
