Darken text, make bolder
Text on my Samsung R620 running windows 7 is a very pale gray. Extremely hard to see.
Does anyone know how to darken it or make it bolder???

Welcome to sevenforums madbeachdogs :)
You can adjust contrast settings in ATI Control Panel
Download and install the latest ATI drivers here:
32 Bit Windows 7 - ATI Mobility Radeon 4330
64 Bit Windows 7 - ATI Mobility Radeon 4330
Once installed, go through the basic settings wizard and adjust to best suit your screen
It's also worth adjusting Clear Type Settings under display properties
ClearType Text Tuner
Go to personalize / window colors / advanced / and make anything bold that has the option to do so. I do this on every install I do. I love it. You can also make some of the texts bigger, but be careful, some will not fit in the fixed window borders.
Thanks guys. I'm going to try it all. But how do you make it stick.
After I do something and think it's over. I can go back and it's back the
way it was after hitting apply and ok.
Now that the words are bigger I still need them/the letters Darker.
They are almost always a pale almost translucent gray.
Is there a cure for this?
Thanks
Well, it seems that the larger words are only on this site. Everywhere elsewheere
they are their usual little tiny, pale words.
Any idea why this didn't take for the rest of the net?
Not sure why the settings didn't change for the rest of the net.
When you're on a page that has tiny, pale writing, you could hold down the Ctrl key and roll the mouse wheel to zoom in or out
I have a Samsung R510 and the default gamma setting makes text hard to read.
In windows 7:
1. Press the Windows Key
2. Type in Calibrate
3. Click on Calibrate Display Color
4. Fix your colors.
to darken both what see on sites, as well as what write in messages in email-- and not sure yet what else-- you go to Internet Options, general tab, fonts, and choose one of the darker fonts--this one am currently using is Arial Black
