    Help With My computer menu.

Sorry if the title is a bit confusing but i dont know what to call it, when you grab the my computer icon and drag it up to the top of the desktop and end up with a my computer menu that you can make auto disappear and what not. Well i liked this feature on vista and xp and i want to know how to get it back on windows 7, if it doesn't exist then i guess im going back to vista because that was a major feature for me.

Hello Crackruckles, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Do you mean the "Computer" icon that you can check here to have it on the desktop?

I dont know of any utility that could isolate one icon from the remainder, but I use this neat little prog to auto hide the whole lot of the desktop icons.
It only works with 32Bit and, for some reason, needs to have the tasbar at the bottom.

I'm sorry if i wasn't very clear i think a picture would help.

If you would like to get that menu just grab the my computer icon and drag it to the top left hand corner of the screen above all other icons and it should appear. It does take some try's but i cant get it to work on Windows 7 any ideas.

Ah, I see. The Desktop Toolbar feature has been removed in Windows 7.

Instead, you can use a free program like Fences, RocketDock, or Nexus to have a dock like this.

    Hope this helps,

I'm not to worried about how it looks just as long as i can set it to auto hide, and have it setup with all the computer drives like the old one had, so i guess i'm saying which one would be the best?
