Folder and Subfolder views

I have a slight problem with my Music folder (W7 x64), I'd like different views for my folders and sub-folders but if I apply one type, ALL folders gets the same view type.

Here is what I'd like to do :

Music : content as List
------Artists : Content as List
------------Albums : Content as Details

I had no problem doing that with vista, it's a bit odd.
Thanks for your tips.

Hello Tx8, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Is this the Music Library folder instead of the C:\Users\(user-name)\My Music folder? If so, then this is normal in a library folder. All included folders in a library share the same folder view. You would have to access it from the C:\Users\(user-name)\My Music folder location instead to have separate folder views per folder.

Hope this helps,

I just use Library for this. I set the first view as (Arrange by) Artist, it then automatically sets the next view as Album, then Song. You can change each view for a different look and it carries though out the same view type.

See attached of course...

I guess I have my answer
Thank you.

Edit : Library won't work for me, I have way too many artists to get something clean.

Ah I see Logicearth,

All Included Folders and subfolders in the library will share the same folder view, but all folders in the library will allow separate "Arrange by" views. Nice.
