Also, your signature is a concept I am very familiar with as a retired diesel technician / mechanic. I would constantly remind the shop foreman that if you don't have time to do it right the first time, you will always find time to do it right the second time. What a waste.

Then there is a huge body of experienced computer users from all over the world, all walks of life, and all ages selflessly willing to share their time and knowledge. I am not aware of any support group that offers solutions so quickly to so many. A Forum to be proud of.

I have read numerous posts from those who say they just "hate" the Windows 7 Library arrangement. While I grant them their right to their opinion, without ridicule, I find myself relying more and more on the positive features of the Library. I am one who fought with the "My Documents" folder ... seemingly forever. It was always more nuisanse than useful me. I could never find what I wanted there because my actual documents were scattered all over the hard drive.

For example, I can store pictures anywhere I want, second internal partition or drive, external drive, or network drive. To view my pictures I only need click "Pictures" on the desktop menu and I can access all of them in one place. If I need to save a backup copy of something to another device, I do not have to sort through my devices and then scroll down through the file system to find the folder I want to save in. I just click the Library and copy and paste the item into the backup folder there. Everything in one place.

Windows 7 has helped me organize my stuff better than ever. I know I could have created the folders, created the shortcuts, and organized them all in the "My Documents" folder ... but I never did. Now, the Library does almost all of the organizing for me. It is true I cannot move folders and files around on the desktop like I used to, but I never did that much anyway. The convenience of being organized is of much greater value than the loss of a so little used feature.

I can't agree with you more Robert, I love the library feature, A "Grand Central" area that makes it easy to find what I'm looking for.
