Never seen that one before!
Does it happen only on the desktop? If so, you might have tweaked desktop.ini.... Did you unhide all files/folders and deleted the 2 desktop.ini files on the desktop?
Try opening an elevated command prompt and type:
sfc /scannow
and let it do its system files check and repair if necessary.
