    preparing user profile

    hi,
i hope that i found the right forum to ask this question ; )

what i want to do is basically to automatically "apply" all my user settings including program settings when i create a new user.

it's important for me that the program settings are applied, like for example specific preferences of programs.

i could go into more details now.... but i want to spare you the long read for now. maybe this info was already enough to point me in the right direction.

Much easier than you would guess. You can go to the MS site, download Windows Easy Transfer. Transfer everything to some external (flash, HD etc.) Create your new account then transfer everything to the new account. Others will come on with other methods, butn this is the one that I would use.

    Thank you Richard
I heard about this method ... if nothing else works I'll probably have to go with this, but I'd actually prefer a different method that does everything automatically right at the moment the new user profile is created.
I think the defualt user prfile is the place to look at... but I do not knwo if I can "transfer" the programs settings and preferences with this one.
