Auto back?????

I'm new to WIndows 7 home premium. I'm doing something, only in Firefox I think, that takes me back to previous pages with a cursor move or something I don't realize I'm doing. I've gone into the cursor settings but can't seem to find anything related to this.

TIA

Could you have a side button on your mouse? Some of those little buttons are so sensitive you need to turn them off. My MS lazer 5000 does that by default. It's an idea.

How about reducing the sensitivity of the pad?

I just noticed a box at the end of the cursor that has side-to-side arrows that I've never seen before. Could that be what is causing this?

Windows Turned Auto Update Back On?
I usually leave my PC on overnight (well, really 24/7... I only turn it off as part of a reboot). This morning, I awoke to find it on its log in screen. I know I left it running last night... it was processing some video in Handbrake. Wondered what happened, until I saw the "windows installed...
