Sidebar.exe must be running for the gadgets to work.... In your situation, you have more issues than your gadgets that would best be resolved with a repair install... then leave system files like libraries alone until you are more experienced...

make sure that sidebar.exe is a running process in taskmanager.
No the sidebar.exe is not showing in the taskmanager.
Would this have anything to do with my Crograms Files being empty ??
I did try a systems restore but it said it was unsuccessful..Maybe due to a virus program running
Run an A/V scan. Getting rid of a potential virus is more important than gadgets.

I don't think I have a Virus because it said to turn off the Virus program. I think it would have said get rid of the Virus if that was the problem.

Lets see, if I were writing a virus, what would I tell the user...hmm..oh yeah.. Please turn off your anti-virus program... You have come here looking for advice ... at least try what is suggested instead of telling us why you shouldn't... With that, I'm 10-7... Good luck with your problem....

I have Norton security program running so that is why I didn't think I had a problem with a Virus. I did run a check anyway and it came up clean. That is why I questioned your suggestion. I appreciate you trying to help but what make you think everyone should follow your advise without asking questions ?? Most people learn by asking questions and not following blindly suggestions given on a forum. I been on enough forums to know you have to be careful about following every suggestion you get. I admit I'm a newbie with Win 7 but I have been using computers probably before you were born. My first computer was a PDP 4. A 4 bit computer where you had to toggle in 4 bits at a time. I'm now 80 and probably slowing down a bit but I still enjoy keeping up with the new technology. Sorry again that I had the audacity to questioned your suggestion

Just thought I would up-date what I found out. It appears that for some unknown reason my C:\Programs file was moved inside the C:\programs files (x86). I moved it to its proper location and every thing is back to normal now.
I Big thanks to all that tried to help.
