    Recycling old hard drives

After upgrading, I've found that I have 7 IDE hard drives ranging in size from 1 GB (!!!) to 200 GB. I'd like to get rid of them all. Is there a free reliable recylcing service out there. I've already wiped them clean (except for the 1 GB drive which won't spin up. It's from 1994).

Joke presents. or nice present for the 200gb.
Best way to get rid of stuff that you no longer want, but you cannot throw in the trash.

rip apart the 1gb one and take out the magnet that moves the arm. It is a rare earth magnet, and is extremely strong - very useful for hanging things up and the like.

Or, you could send the larger ones to me. I have plenty of empty drive bays and would use them as separate storage (if they are still good).

Thats a good idea. If you can't think of anything else to do with them, do that to all under about 100GB, anything above that, keep or sell.
