Sorry if this is in the wrong place or alread a thread on this.
But ive re-installed windows 7 about 5 times on different machines and hard-drives now, and im still getting the same thing happening.

I cant see any options in appearence to make it transparent.
    G-card is ATI Radeon 9200se 128mb
(my mates using on-board graphics, and he doesnt get this problem)

    Hi Scott, Welcome to SF,

You could try Shawn's tutorial Transparency - Enable or Disable

I've checked online for one, but it says ATI are no longer doing updates for the driver i have, so it always says i have the latest one installed

I think it might be your graphics card - you need Pixel Shaders 2.0 or higher to display full aero features, but your card specs say it only supports Pixel Shaders 1.4...

Yeah, def sounds like driver problem.
Can you check Windows Update to see if it has any drivers?

If it really is a Pixel Shaders problem, driver updates will not fix it. Pixel Shader level is determined by the hardware, not the software

    Did that, and got this.

'The current video card may support Aero with a driver that is compliant with the Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM). Contact the manufacturer of your computer or video card for a WDDM-compatible driver.'
