JohnnyScience,

Trigger! Where did you get that from? I looked through the columns of BlueScreenView, and I didn't see any of them with that title.

I will assume that this is a task that you have scheduled in the Task Scheduler, or it is something that is schedule by a program that you have installed, but with what little info that you gave, I would have no idea of what. It may or may not help, but post the entire line of data for that event here.

I'm not trying to save energy, I'm trying to stop my computer from rebooting in the middle of the night when I have work going on.

Can anyone answer my enable/disable of the items in the task manager? how do I disable them?

No one can answer your question without more information than you have given, unless someone has personal experience with this trigger that you refer to. The only thing that you can do with the Task Manager is to kill a process, but that doesn't necessarily prevent it from restarting. You must go to the source, and to do that you have to know what it is.

Task Manager Control

In the "Task Scheduler"

All you have to do is highlight which one you want to modify then on the pane on the right you can choose disable or delete which ever,if your not sure what the culprit is just choose disable that way if it's not the right one you can easily re-enable it.

Ok easy enough, but is it the googleupdate thats actually rebooting my computer?

I've attached a picture of my trigger screen...

I'm curious, just what is so important that you have created a Google update for?

That would be sufficient reason for me to uncreate it. I really dislike anything designed to call home without my knowledge or authority.

Yeah I have the toolbar installed on things like FF I think.

Opera is my main browser & I think it already has a search engine built in that I default to google.

So can I/should I delete it?

Ok. So about a month ago, I upgraded my IBM M51 from XP to 7, and everything has been pretty flawless... except one thing.
