Is there such a thing as "normal"? I would imagine that it depends on where you are getting the upgrade from.

Yeah, more details please! The easiest way to do an upgrade would be digitally (by downloading the .ISO and burning it to DVD before your upgrade).

Did you order an Upgrade Kit from your computer maker? Ours took a month to arrive.

I used another Win7 installer to clean install the correct version, and the Upgrade kit arrived a day before the 30-day activation countdown expired. (I could have extended it another 90 days).

I installed the key and it activated first time.

Vista to 7 Upgrade--Slow Boot up Time
The title pretty much explains it all. I upgraded from Vista to 7 and I noticed my boot up time is very slow. I went ahead and tried the "time your windows 7 boot up" and apparently takes 194 seconds for my computer to boot. I was thinking maybe if I did a clean install instead of just an...

Upgrade from Windows Vista OEM?
I've heard a lot of conflicting reports on this, so I'd like a definitive answer. I'm currently running an OEM version of Windows Vista Home Premium, and I've placed my pre-order for Windows 7 Home Premium. Will I be able to do a clean install of 7 from my OEM version of Windows? I've heard that...
