Windows 7: Taskbar Icons

Taskbar Icons

Hi All,

I have just bought this laptop below and it has all be fine for a day or so but now sometimes when I log into Windows 7 some of the icons on the taskbar dont load up I have to log off and back on again.

any ideas how to fix this problem?

Sounds like a driver problem. Have you looked at win update for a driver update for your grapichs card? It would be in optional updates. You might have to look at HP support site for a new win7 driver. Also you can try to right click on desktop/ view/ show desktop icons. unselect then reboot then go back and select them.

Ok I'll go ahead and download the ATI driver from the link below

Select software and drivers HP Pavilion dv7-2215sa Entertainment Notebook PC - HP technical support (United Kingdom - English)

All Windows updates are installed and it shows no driver updates.

Go to your device manager and look for any warnings about new drivers.

you may want to right clikck on task bar, properties customize

Uncheck all

Shut down, reboot and then check them again. Hopefully they will reset.

Then if that does not work

In an administrator account type cmd in search once in cmd type sfc /scannow

If that does not work do a system restore from a time before the problem
