I thought about putting this post up in the Customization forum but i find it more fit here... Anyways

Is there a way to delete a file opened and in use (in my case, A notepad document) without having to close or minimize the program and > right click > Delete

    Like - Through windows explorer

I'm also unsure why you'd want to do this, but in any case - no, it's not possible. At least not without any third-party software, which I haven't been able to find for you.

Here's a process for deleting an open doc in Microsoft Word (not Notepad). It involves some basic macro editing, but doesn't appear to be at all current so may not work in Windows 7. Might as well give it a try: Delete an open Word document - Office Watch

    Cheers,
