My 500Gb is split into 3, one of the partitions stored all my backup data, which i have now tranfered to an external HDD.
But it says system partition but it has no data in it!!!

    Thanks in advance

    Hello again,

Can you confirm that hidden and OS files are shown?

Also consider try a free data recovery program such as Diskdigger. Perhaps the files got deleted somehow.

There's not need to recover data as I've moved all data from that partition.

But the partition still says 183Mb is in use, I cant remember how to view if any thing is hidden....

182MB could be reserved for system files, etc, or it could be the space taken up by the format and labeling discrepancies.

That is perfectly normal. If you still have doubts, please post a screenshot of your Device Manager.

Yeah, that is perfectly normal. If you delete those files, they will come back again.

Boot critical files are on there.

The unlettered 5.37gb partition says EFI System partition.

Who installed the o/s - and more importantly, how?

Originally the Disk 0 was the setup that went with vista.

I deleted them Jon and it locked me out sayin missing NTLDR, which i knew would happen.

The EFI was already like that when i bought the system.
