Upgraded to Win7 Ultimate still burning problem..

    Your drive might not be compatible with Windows 7. Has it ever burned to a CD before? Have you ever had Windows XP?

    No i never had XP on it, i bought it with Vista home premuim 32bit. and it was working well for year and there was no problem burning. before a couple of months the problem started, i tried to go back to restore points but there was no use.
    This week i installed Win7 ultimate 32bit, and here i am! :S

    The only thing i noticed in your first post where you went to device mgr there's an exclamation point beside your chipset driver, that's where i would start.

    I think you have a faulty drive. I think your best is to replace it. They're pretty cheap.

    1Bowtie i tried to update and it was up2date, when i tried scan for hardware changes this showed up ;s

    GUYS I UNINSTALLED THE CHIPSET THING AND RESTARTED THOUGHT IT WILL INSTALL AGAIN, THE DVD_R DID BUT NOT THE CHIPSIT THING NOW MY SCREEN IS SO DARK ((( what should i do?
