Deleting old win 7 folder on win xp pro

this is the thing... i first installed win 7 on my lap, but it has 1gb ram so i just installed xp pro over it (didn't format the drive, cuz i have only one particion and loads of crap up that i don't want to delete)

and noow, i have xp on my lap, and windows 7 old folder, and i can't f***** delete it. i tried Unlocker, changing ownership, disk cleanup.. nothing is working...

here is some pictures when i try to:

delete folder: (and this is not the only1 process in that folder..)

folder size: (i moved it on the desktop with Unlocker, but it won't delete folder or process...)

    Hi BrainD3ad! Welcome to SevenForums!

1st please see this tutorial on: https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...en-forums.html

2nd, have you tried deleting it in Safe Mode. Press F8 repeatedly when your computer starts up and choose Safe Mode.

    Try that and post back.

I think that the folder is just the start of your problems, I realize that you do not want to do a clean install, but that would be the best thing that you could do. As time progresses you are going to experience all kinds of problems. The only thing you have to reinstall are programs, if you use Windows Easy Transfer, to transfer everything else, like cookeis, documents, desktop etc. I know other will tell you how to do what you want, but I suggest against it. Do a clean install. Have a Happy New Year and I wish you the best.

Regarding the clean insall, which would you want? A nice new car or a 10 year old car fixed up to look and act like new? OS are the same thing. The Happiest of New Years to you and your loved ones.

In my openion it is not wise to have a single partition. Had I been in place of you, I would have installed Acronis or paragon first to create another partion without formating the hard disk. After transferring all the important and precious data it the second partition, a fresh installation of windows 7 (not xp) is justified.
