Activate windows 7 from another region.

Hi,

I've a genuine windows 7. The problem now I am having is I worked outside of the region where I bought my windows and only will be back to my country once every 3 to 6 months. Is there another way for me to activate my windows?

Anyone can help?

Very easy one. When you install do not include your key number and uncheck the box indicacting automtatic activation. After installation, but before 30 days call the activation number for your region, you can activate by phone. The phone activation, will be by touch tone, if there is a problem you will be elevated to a person. However the normal activation method would probably work. Have a Happy New Year

Folowing up on Rich's advice, you can extend it another 90 days if necessary.

Save a Win7 backup image so you never have to reinstall again anyway.

If you get an itchy finger, you could try to activate and explain the travel situation as MS typically has lenient common sense policies.

The worst that could happen is it could then default to 3 days to activate at which point you could reimage in 15 minutes to start over.

Region and Language
Hi everyone. I encountered a problem with Keyboards and Languages. I think I unintentionally deleted a keyboard setting. Is there any way of returning it? Here's a screenshot: http://i36.fastpic.ru/big/2012/0518/b1/24926cd8551429477c0852fa10589db1.png

DVD Region 2
I just received a movie DVD, which I purchased at eBay, and was surprised that it was marked region 2, since the ad said nothing to state or imply that this was true. Yet, it does play okay on my computer, and my optical drives are all region 1. I also thought that movies for Europe would all...

Region A
I'm familiar with the numerical designations for CD/DVDs, but one that I'm now looking at is labeled as region A (US, CA). Would there be any compatibility issue with playing it in a region 1 setting?
