What's wrong with the RAM?

I have MacBook Pro (lastest one-Snow Leopard installed)

Using Boot Camp, I install Windows 7 build 7600 Ultimate 32 bit

What I know, I have 4GB RAM but why, in the system properties, it shows that only 2.72GB RAM is usable? Why this is happening? I can't enjoy 4GB RAM for my works (e.g GAMES )

Any idea anybody?

Windows x86 never displays over 3.25Gb of RAM, and it sounds like your graphics adapter is sapping the rest. If you want to see correct memory reporting then use the x64 build instead...

I used to install the x64, but it shows only 3.72GB

By the way, my graphics card is integrated nvdia 9400GM 256MB

*Additional info, i also see my friend's laptop using windows 7. same results as me (2.72GB usable RAM, although 4GB RAM are installed)

as qdos replied your graphics card is intergrated so it "steals" 256mb of ram x86 is restricted by licence on ram usage, hope that helps

from that article, x86 architecture doesnt address that final 1GB at all, thats reserved for the IO memory address....thats memory hole problem for all x86, and not particular to any windows x86.

What is not discussed is if you have integrated hardware as on most notebooks....would the extra 1Gb be used for the IO devices....

from the OP, it doesnt look like it.....

What went wrong?
OK I had an issue with my pc not allowing me to use 2x2Gig ram chips together. This was solved with a bios update but it did cause me the following problem. First off after doing the bios update I checked the system with just the original 2gig of ram - it seemed ok but a little slow. I then added...
