    Disk Scanner at Start up


    Every 2nd day when i start up Windows i get a message that it wants to scan my drive C.

    Now i acdendilty told it to oncce, and now i would like to stop it coz it is annoying


    How do i stop it?

    Nope its Windows that Starts it.


    I acdently click scheudle disk scan, when i wanted to clean my Disk one time

    Might try a startup repair or Might try step 2 and step 3 of this tutorial.

My neighbour turned on his laptop computer this morning and is getting a message "need bootable disk to start". Of course he did not make a set of recovery DVD's. My question is - how do I get into system repair without a boot disk and then run it 3 time as recommended. Haven't seen the unit...
I'm trying to prevent my scanner from starting up (along with its associated noise) when Windows 7 starts up. I couldn't find my scanner in the "Everything" tab within Autoruns (version 9.57) during a manual search or via a search using the Find option. There also doesn't seem to be a way...
