    Problems with hidden folders etc

When i download files to my desktop, i could not view them. I went into the show hidden folders option and turned it on so i could view hidden folders and for some reason my downloaded files were then viewable on the desktop, i then proceeded to turn the show hidden folders options off and guess what my downloaded files vanished. I then went back and turned show hidden folders option on and they showed up again.

Is there any way to address this problem.

I have faith in his forum.

Probably because the hidden attribute got enabled somehow in the desktop folder. Check it @ user\username\desktop\properties.

    Hi rmw020, Welcome to SF,

I see this issue before with XP and Vista. This is casued by some Virus or Malware which modifies Windows Explorer settings. I'm attaching a tool. In that under Windows Explorer its the 5th option try this it should work

    FixWin.zip

    Hope this helps

What antivirus are you using? Disable it and try again.
