Intel Turbo Memory keeps reverting back to "Disabled"

Hey guys, I upgraded to windows 7 over vista the other day and I just noticed a problem. I have the Intel Turbo Memory Readyboost and it used to work perfectly with Vista, but I just opened the window where you enable/disable it, and it said it was disabled, so i enabled it and it asked me to restart my computer so I did, and when I restarted I went back just to make sure it was enabled and it is still disabled. I tried it again and same thing happened... anyone know why or how to fix it?? Thanks.

It certainly appears to be having a problem. Is there a Win 7 driver?

It sounds like you did an upgrade from Vista, maybe some driver was brought along that is not compatible with Win 7.

I actually just downloaded a different driver from a different site and it works now =] . I downloaded a Win7 driver at first and it still didn't work but the second one I just tried fixed it. Thanks, this can be closed !

May I ask which website did you download the driver from? I'm using the latest Intel Matrix Storage Manager installer that comes with Turbo Memory from Intel's own website, and I still get the same problem of not being able to enable ReadyDrive. Maybe if I use your driver source it'll solve my problem, too.

I actually have a program called Device Doctor and it scans your hardware for drivers that need updating and I downloaded the driver from that. Hope that helps!

I had the same problem: Windows 7 - Intel Turbo Memory keeps reverting back to "Disabled". I have a Lenovo T400 originally running a SATA mechanical hard drive in AHCI Mode. My 4GB Intel Turbo Memory worked GREAT! I replaced the hard drive with an OCZ 64GB SATA SSD. I had to run SATA in Compatibility Mode to install Windows 7. After installing the Intel Turbo Memory Driver, I could not get Turbo Memory to enable. Intel clearly states that the System Requirements are: "At least one Serial ATA hard drive". After several hours of troubleshooting, I realised that even though I had a SATA SSD, I still needed to install the correct SATA AHCI Controller Driver - AND set my SATA Mode to AHCI in BIOS Setup. Once I did that, my 4GB Intel Turbo Memory worked GREAT once again.
Conclusion: Make sure you have a Serial ATA hard drive in your computer AND that you have a valid SATA Controller Driver installed AND that you have your SATA Controller Mode set to AHCI in your BIOS Setup Utility.
Hope that helps others resolve the Intel Turbo Memory keeps reverting back to "Disabled" issue.
