    Aero Peek not working?

    Hi everyone,

I got a problem with the Aero Peek in Win7.
I don't know what happened, but suddenly I cannot peek my Safari. (see picture attached)

Any other programs can be peeked on.

And also, my Safari usually works along with UAC (i.e. no prompt when trying to open the web browser), but now, every time I try to use Safari, I will get prompted about UAC.

What do you all think the problem is?

    Thanks, guys.

    Hello,

Does Aero Peek work with your other programs?

As I understand, Safari is giving you the trouble.

Perhaps a System Restore will help.

    Hope this helps,

If it were me, I would follow Jonathans instructions. In lieu of that I would try to uninstall and then install again.

Possibly, even better, if Safari is like IE, set it back to defaults.

Your getting the UAC prompt is because every time Safari is running as Administrator and it's not a bad thing. If you right click and go to Properties of Safari shortcut icon under Compatibility Tab you can see Run as admin would be checked. You could try to reinstall Safari to see whether that makes a difference.

    Hope this helps

Speaking of peek for a moment. Does'nt 7 give you the thumbnails like Vista did, or am I missing a setting or something. All I get in peek is a window description.

EDIT: Never mind. Found by changing the taskbar buttons option to "never combine fixed it.

That's because Aero is not enabled. Search for Aero in the start menu and change the theme. If you get a link that says troubleshoot problems with Aero, click it.

    Hi Tommy,

You could make sure its Aero Peek Preview is enabled

Aero Peek - Turn On or Off

Even if you enable if you have still issues you could try the self troubleshooting in Windows 7

Guided Help: Troubleshoot Aero problems in Windows 7

    Hope this helps,
