    Hi,

When you save a bat file you have to change the extension to All Files
After your File Name type .bat (Test.bat)
Also make sure under Control Panel > Programs > Default Programs > Set Associations
Under Bat file it does say Windows Batch File

    Hope this helps,
    Captain

I guess you might have changed the File type to always to open with Notepad. I will attach a reg file which might fix this issue. Run the reg file and reboot the system one then try.

    Associate BatFileExecution.reg

    Hope this helps,

I've got a related problem. I can't get a batch file to run. I've manually associated it with the cmd processor which opens the cmd line but doesn't run the batch file. The reg file above won't run: it says some keys are open by the system or other processes.
