    Same Problem

I have the same problem. I know what the issue is, but not sure how to fix it. If you look on your hard drive you have 2 program files folders if you are running a 64 bit OS. Add/Remove programs is only reading the contents of the 64 bit folder and not the 32 bit. How do you merge Add/Remove programs to read both folders?

Hello Abnormal1, and welcome to Seven Forums.

I'm sorry, but you have this mistaken. Programs and Features in the Control Panel will have installed registered programs from both the C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files (x86) folders in the uninstall list. They cannot and should not be merged together.

In a 32-bit Windows 7, you only have the C:\Program Files folder since you can only install 32-bit programs.

In a 64-bit Windows 7, you have the C:\Program Files folder for installed 64-bit programs and the C:\Program Files (x86) folder for backwards support for installed 32-bit programs.

    Right

Thank you for the quick response. Yea I am fully aware that there are two programs folders, but when I go to Add/Remove programs it is only showing my 64 bit apps that are installed, no 32 bit at all. CCleaner does not list the 32 bit apps as well when I go into the Add/Remove tool in there as well. I am at a complete loss with this one....

    Adnormal1,

Strange indeed. Are you able to run the installation file again for one of the installed 32-bit programs to see if that can repair or reinstall it to see if it may be listed afterwards?

I have tried reinstalling a few of the 32 bit apps and no go. This is on a new laptop that is less then a month old so assuming a clean install. Just for the heck of it, I tried an upgrade fix last night and that did nothing either. Uninstalled all security software as well as all Windows Updates to see if that would do anything and no go on that one either. Guess I will just wipe and reinstall cause this is driving me nuts.
