Glow on taskbar buttons doesn't go away

When you mouse over a button on the taskbar in Windows 7, the button glows in the predominant color of the program's icon, with the glow being most intense where the cursor currently is. Then the cursor leaves the button, the glow goes away.

However, for me, when the cursor leaves a button and does not then enter another button, the glow stays on the previously hovered over button. This is not what is supposed to happen. Does anyone know what causes this or how to fix it?

Does the glow disappear when you click the desktop?

No. The glow does not go away when you click the desktop or any other window.

Have you got mouse set to one click to open files instead of double click?
If so hover over = one click = select icon, until you hover or click over something else

Mouse is set to default of double-click to open. Can't stand it the other way.

I hadn't realized that NVidia was now releasing drivers for mobile video cards. Last time I checked I still fell into the "See your manufacturer" category. Anyway, updated the drivers and the glow now works correctly. Thanks everyone.

Well, now that Frostmourne's sig doesn't show or has been changed, the fix can no longer be seen.
Can anyone post whatever link he had in my sig?

I've had this problem for months and have always updated my gpu drivers, so I hope there were some additional instructions in that link.

    Thanks,
