Is there a way to use Dx10 in Windows 7?

    My Windows 7 Prof x64 uses Dx9.0c(August) and Dx11. I can't find anything about Dx10. DXDIAG shows only Dx11.

Dx11 is backwards compatible. This mean that no matter how 'new' the DirectX is, older games that need an earlier DirectX, will still be able to run with Dx11.
Also, 7 is installed with Dx11 standard.

Are you saying that games aren't running?

Thanks, I kind of figured that but needed reassurance.

Okay, if you want anything else, just ask.

The problem is with FSX Dx10 Preview not having any AA. But I assume it's the video card driver now.

I have FSX (Demo) installed, and it works fine.

Start a new thread in the 'Gaming' section, and we will try to fix the problem.

There is a huge difference between the FSX demo and the full blown FSX product.
Note that I have the Deluxe version and am using patches SP1 and SP2, which are not in the Demo.

I don't remember the demo having the Dx 10 Preview option. Does it?

    Nope, it doesn't.
But is the actual gameplay going wrong?

Game play is ok. It's the antialiasing that does not work.

    Hmm i'm stumped there.
If its not really bothering you, I wouldn't worry about it.

Are you sure this is a DirectX issue?
