HELP! Crazy mouse prob with win7

I have installed win7 on my Acer 2920 that originally had Vista. I now have a problem with my mouse doing irritating things when typing, jumping back into previous sentences. This is what i have done so far to try and solve it without any success. Any advice would be great.

In device manager it says under mouse 'PS/2 compatible part'
Clicked update - no updated needed.
I then unistalled and then re-installed, but this made no difference.
I checked my discs - but no drivers found for mouse.
Checked Acer website - no drivers found

What i have discovered is when i go into 'mouse properties' found in 'personalize' if i click on to 'hide mouse' when typing, click 'apply' - this makes no difference, mouse does not hide when typing and this jumping is somehow related to where the mouse is on the page. If i move mouse off the page, it will activate independently during typing on wherever it is on. This jumping occurrs in all programs, windows and browsers. I did not have this problem before O/S update to win7.
How do i get the mouse to hide and stop this very annoying problem? Any genius' out there who know the answer - I would most appreciate any assistance.
    Thanks for reading

    Hello Natasha,

This is your Touchpad driver problem. Visit the below Acer website and download the touch pad driver. I see the driver is available for Vista. This would also work with Windows 7.

This is the direct link I have generated from the website:

    For 64bit:

    ftp://ftp.work.acer-euro.com/noteboo...9.1.20WHQL.zip

    For 32bit:

    http://global-download.acer.com/GDFi...cer&SC=EMEA_27

Just download and install this :)
