    Upgrade to 32-bit or 64-bit ??? Urgent

I am in the process of installing a clean Windows 7 from Vista Home Prem (32-bit).

    I have 2GB memory.

Which one is better for my computer: 32-bit or 64-bit

    Thanks!!

depends on your upgrade plans if any if you do not plan on a hardware upgrade to 4 gigs or more of ram i would stay with 32 bit also if you are considering 64 bit make sure there are 64 bit drivers for windows 7 for your hardware

people often mistakenly believe that because they choose a 64 bit os they are limited to 64 bit software, completely not true. windows will emulate the 32 bit platform so that all but the most poorly written software will still operate although those programs can't make use of more than 4gb of ram. but they will run and since generally speaking 64 bit machines have more available ram than 32 bit you will still have a performance increase in pretty much all of your daily tasks.

It would be helpful to advise if we knew more about what you use the machine for mostly...
