    Installed Applications Icon Failure


    Hola ,

    System :
    Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate x64

    Registry Editing :
    Disable Libraries in Windows 7 , Take Ownership (right click menu) , Vista Shortcut Manager(FxVisor64)

    System Patches :
    Universal Theme Patcher , Moded Explorer.exe

    Info :
    Every Thing was workin gr8 till i installed "Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 9.0.0.736" + "Acronis Backup & Recovery Workstation 10.0.11345" , Just opened Acronis Backup & Recovery Workstation n i haven't liked it much = uninstall , After the uninstall and a restart ... ...

    Symptoms :

    - Most of appz got a creepy old icon for the prgoram icon n filetype :

    - Microsoft Office .
    - Windows Live (Mail , Messenger , etc) .
    - Adobe Reader .
    - ImageShack Uploader
    - Sony Ericsson Disc2Phone .
    And more ...

    In Pictures :

    Notes :

    - The last backup in windows system restore was after the epic fail so forget it

    - When i tried to uninstall a program of those who have this i got a weird stuff :

    Adobe Reader
    Microsoft Office
    - At last It would b really nice if this got solved i got bored of vista thx in advance :) ...

    You should try Revo uninstaller to clean up those uninstall failures,
    Revo Uninstaller - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com
    Then try this tutorial to fix some of that other stuff,
    SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

    Thx 4 ur replay but that doesn't work 4 me , Yesterday got a fresh install n today got the same problem , W8tin 4 the help guyz ...

    Your icons are most likely missing because they were stored in:

    C:\Windows\Installer\{GUID}

    If a software deletes these folders icons will be missing.
