Build 6956 versus 7057 - ok but...

Guys just upgraded from my ancient build 6956 that I installed quite a while ago...

man... everything is way slower. The 6956 build reboots in 40ish sec but this one takes over a minute.

What's going on at Microsoft?

Why instead of getting faster it's getting exponentially slower?

Personaly I think 7057 has been the fastest so far. Did you do a clean install?

Since you upgraded, some drivers might have been replaced. I suggest you uninstall all downloaded drivers, do a Windows Update to find the best ones and if anything missing, then install the Vista versions of them.

me too thinks 7057 is by far the quickest, the problem is with your set up and not os.

Well, there is no way I would have even attempted an 'upgrade' from ANY build prior to 7000, let alone 6956!

Wipe system and reinstall 7057 and I can assure you that all troubles will be gone

Do a clean install, I am postive that I can restart my computer in less than 45 seconds.
