Can you rewrite a deleted system volume?

Is there a method to rewrite a deleted Windows 7 system volume (the small 200 MB or 100 MB partition)? I'd like to avoid doing a complete reinstall, but I have a feeling that I'm screwed.

    Hello,

You may try some data recovery software: Easeus Partition Master Pro - x86 & x64 Free

    Can you be more specific?

    This may not work,,

TestDisk is very good at retrieving deleted partitions.

But, if you are reffering to the initial parition that is created when installing Windows 7 for use by Bitlocker and System Recovery stuff,, yes, I think you are screwed.

Oh yeah,,, be careful using this tool,, it is very powerful and can destroy wanted data.

Did you remove or damage the 100mb System Reserved partition? It is fully fixable.

You can repair or rewrite the MBR to Win7 or the 100mb System Reserved partition at any time by booting the Win7 DVD, selecting Repair my Computer on second screen, clicking through to recovery tools list to run Startup Repair up to 3 separate times with reboots.

If you choose to remove the 100mb partition, then you need to mark Win7 active using a disk manager or DISKPART commands first, then follow the above procedure to write the MBR to Win7.
