start up time very long ?

hey guys i have just done a laptop for a friend of mine, with the specs below

    1gb ddr2 667mhz
    160gb hdd sata
    2.1 intel cpu

well here is the thing it was fine when i first did it for him, but now i have been called back to a laptop that is taking like 10 to 15 minz to show the desktop, but it will show the welcome screen and then go to a black screen with just the mouse, ther but then after 5 or so minz it will show the loading thing then just a black, screen i have run sfc/scannow 5 times and not finding anything at all i have, run malaware bytes 3 or 4 time found 2 things the first time but, removed them now all clean scanned with eset nod32 full anti-virus and firewall still notting, only thing i have left to try is a repair install but that will be tomoz job as abit late now.

It really a slow laptop with only 1gig may just be the reason but try,
Hybernation is usually on by default which many don't need. This makes another large storage file in your root directory similiar to pagefile.sys.
If you want to disable hybernation file go to the Dos Cmd prompt and type
    powercfg -h off
You need the space between just like I wrote.
    Reboot and see what happens.

The other thing that may be going on is your virus scanner is scanning on bootup each time.

Please let me know what you find.

Open an elevated Command Prompt (run as admin) and type schtasks, then hit Enter. See whether anything is scheduled at boot time (e.g. disk defrag or similar).
Another reason could be a defective startup program. Disable all startups (in msconfig) and check whether that helps. If yes, you have to try them one by one to find the culprid.

My command was not written correctly in my earlier post.
    Here it is corrected
Disable hybernation file from being created
    At Cmd prompt
    powercfg -h off
