My dvd is at home, so that will probably be another thing I might have to try if check disk fails me.
I had to "sanitize" 50 Windows boxes with all kinds of previledges, passwords, locked folders/files, corrupted files, you name it. I found the best tool was a bootable CD with Puppy (or Knoppix) Linux - boot to Puppy, mount the hard drive and delete the user folder, corrupt files, anything that I needed. Never had a problem using that method.

You could also try rebooting into safe mode, delete the files inside that folder, then delete the folder.
maybe try Total Uninstall, making sure uyou only select the corrupt file,(total Uninstall doesnt just remove/uninstall programs,it does files as well
Hi, you told another poster theog that you already tried Safe Mode and it didn't work.
Hi, try this, while you are waiting, Open a new folder on the desktop or somewhere handy, now go to the folder that
you cannot delete, and right click on it and select Cut, Paste it into the new folder and see if you can delete it from there.
