Save Location

    Save Location


    Hi,

    I have just downloaded a file from the net and usally save downloads to the desktop however when clicking on the arrow for the drop down menu there is no other options in it. Does anyone know how to get this back?



    I have attached a pic.

    Hi Wizkid.:)

    Simply click on the location where you wish to save the download/file in the left hand "branch menu". Your download will then be saved to your chosen location and the location will be added to the drop down menu.

    Hope this helps.

    When you are asked for location, click on Favorites (left pane) and Desktop will be one of the options.

Is there any way to set the default save location folder for downloads in IE8 to the last folder that the same file type was saved in? It makes no sense to default to a single folder and have to browse through to the desired folder for every single download, so I assume there has to be an option...
