Can I run Windows 7? [SPECS INSIDE]

    No - WDDM 1.0 drivers use both the CPU+GPU to render the screen. 1.1 uses just the GPU and frees up the CPU. With a single core Pentium 4, it should be OK, just don't multitask heavily with 5 IE8 browser windows open. RAM is good though. Is your hard disk a 5400RPM or 7200RPM model?

    MY hard disk is a 7,200 RPM. I've been running the upgrade advisor for approximately 1 hour now and it's still scanning so I decided to close it. Is it suppose to take that long?

    No, defrag your PC with My Defrag, and then reboot and try again.
