zhuki, your laptop should have come with a recovery disc ,have a look at pages 87 & 99 of the manual ,that will tell you how to make a dvd , hope that helps

Any new computer, laptop or desktop will ask you to choose language and time zone and such on first boot-up.

My experience with a new PC, although from Dell, not Samsung, was as follows - when I ordered the PC, I asked for the 64-bit OS. When it came, it came with the 32-bit OS pre-installed. All the recovery media, on DVDs and on the hard drive were 32-bit. So I called Dell asking for my 64-bit DVD. Of course by that time there was no record of what I asked for originally. Still, they sent me one by mail and when I got it I made a clean install. There was nothing to backup since I just did not use the PC for the couple of days it took to receive the 64-bit OS DVD from Dell.

So my advice would be (unless it's imperative that you have the laptop operational tonight) to call Samsung and ask for the 64-bit OS DVD. I'd be surprised if they would not send one to you.

hmm the thing is i purchased the product at another country and it took quite its time to come here, so asking them so send me a dvd probably isnt the right option, unless they provide some downloadable version.
