I'm getting really anoying square pop-ups over windows since yesterday (they appear for a second). There is no pattern when they appear. Sometimes are blank (dark green), sometimes it's 0° inside them.
I didn't install any program that I don't know, windows security essentials reports no virus, so I really don't know what's this.
any help would be most appreciated!!

That looks like a monitor issue to me, but I could always be wrong.
First I would do the easy thing and update your card and monitor drivers.
If that does not work, I would see if the same thing happens if you use the monitor with another machine.
If not a monitor issue and since this is a rather unique problem, I would try a system restore, going back a few days before the problem. Your personal documents will not be affected.
I'll try with monitor drivers first and then with system restore.

it is monitor, cause I changed transparency of monitor's menus and it's the same with damn square.
If it is indeed a monitor issue, there is not much you can do about it. That happened to another person I know, and we ended up replacing the monitor.
You can try updating your monitor drivers, but I don't think it will make a difference.
Of course, the litmus test is if it misbehaves in another machine.
